As Global Credit Data data has built up over time, so have the number of studies using Global Credit Data data. The publications have taken various forms:

Note: GCD is promoting academic research on its data. Our Academic Research Committee is ensuring that in line with GCD's internal procedures. Also member banks can use their view of the GCD data to perform research. The publication should come with appropriate references (please contact GCD for standard language elements). GCD requires the following conditions to be applied when such research is to be published.

• The member bank is required to apply similar controls and conditions as GCD does in order to fulfil their membership duties
• The reference to the sponsor shall be to the member bank authorising the research, not to GCD
• Reference shall be made to the fact that GCD data is used but making it clear that the data used is merely a sub-sample available to the member bank and is not the same as the total GCD data set
• The research document or publication is encouraged to be made available to member banks through GCD and the researcher plus the sponsoring bank is encouraged to present their research to the General Meeting or another suitable forum  

Research inquiries

Global Credit Data allows selected academics access to the Global Credit Data database under special agreements where the area of research could be of interest to the financial community. Interested qualified academics are encouraged to contact Nina Brumma for further discussions.
